This is my Sunday morning in Sedona. I have to vacate my home now. How would you like this to be your Sunday morning?
We are trapped breathing jet fumes, our blood pressure is already going up at 9:30AM, despite the windows being closed and running air purification equipment. I have spasms in my face now. Robert's pulse went from 56 to 97. This photo was taken this morning after one jet flew over our neighborhood, imagine what ten to twenty jets does to our air? We are dying here. No, that is not an exaggeration, Amanda and Jordan have both passed away in the last month. We have...

With no where for the benzene to evacuate to, we are stuck breathing this and dozens of other toxic chemicals. These exhaust fumes fall of the airport mesa in all directions, mix with car exhaust and sunlight and create even deadlier particulate matter.
BENZENE: Merely One ingredient in Jet Fuel, A HUMAN CARCINOGEN
by Raphael Metzger, Esq. Benzene is also a known human carcinogen. Benzene causes various types of leukemia, lymphoma, and blood diseases. The first case reports of benzene-induced blood diseases date from 1897. The first report of benzene causing leukemia was published in 1928....

I can smell the jet fumes in my yard, they smell like furniture polish. Sometimes I can't smell the jet fumes but I feel them as my normally low blood pressure becomes high, my heart races and my liver hurts and goes into spasms. If I see a jet I run into the house and close my door and windows now. My neighbors also have intermittent high blood pressure and pulse rates, sometimes we are awake all night sick and suffocating in still toxic air from several jets. Sedona is a basin, the polluted air has no where to evacuate to and we get to sleep in this. Hot summer days make the chemicals...
Another jet just flew over my house, I ran to close the doors and windows. Robert is losing his voice and it got raspy in 20 minutes, he has started to cough and his lungs hurt. His blood pressure is going up and his pulse is higher. I have decided if we die from cancer I will donate my entire estate to my attorney with a designation of suing the Sedona Airport Authority and Yavapai County on behalf of the families of those who have died here.
Amanda Coughlin died from a sudden onset of liver cancer at age 20, it spread through her body and she died a painful death. It is impossible...

I am not the "Side Against the Airport," I am One Living Being out of Thousands.
I am sorry to report there will be no meeting for the general public to discuss the airport or hear from the Airport Manager, Mac McCall. I am not the "side" against the airport, I am one living being and there are thousands more who are suffering from the impacts of the airport. From what I can tell from the responses I am getting from the city, they are unhappy that they are getting calls and emails about the airport. The City has no jurisdiction over the airport, however they are unwilling to speak...
To the One...
It' was a beautiful clear, still evening until the fourth Jet today coasted in over my home at an altitude of 600-800ft. The absolutely still air of our peaceful valley here on the Red Rock Loop Rd is now filled to the brim with Jet Exhaust fumes at 10:00 PM It's 10:10 and another plane is just now taking off too. So much for open windows, My heart rate is already starting to accelerate and my blood pressure is rising due to the Fumes of Jet exhaust settling in over and around the house. My nose is starting to burn and my eyes have started to water and sting. Kristin is sneezing...
Battle over Santa Monica Airport's future revs up
By Martha Groves, Los Angeles Times November 26, 2011
Mar Vista resident Virginia Ernst looks skyward as a jet flies over her home on its approach to Santa Monica Airport. “I’ve totally lost the use of my yard,” said Ernst, an area resident for nearly 50 years. “It’s like I’m a prisoner in my home.”
Does the endgame loom in the decades-long tussle over Santa Monica Airport?
In 2015, all land and building leases at the airport expire, and city officials — and thousands of Westside residents weary of life in the flight path...

Living under a flight path can seriously damage your health. German researchers have discovered that people who are exposed to jet noise have a substantially increased risk of stroke, high blood pressure and heart disease. The findings are bound to provide further ammunition to anti-airport campaigners and make uncomfortable reading for world leaders at this week's climate summit in Copenhagen.
According to the unpublished study, commissioned by Germany's Federal Environment Agency, men who are exposed to jet noise have a 69% higher risk of being hospitalized for cardiovascular disease. Women...

Federal Aviation Administration
14 CFR Parts 91 and 150 [Docket No. 2923]
Compatible Land Use Planning Initiative
AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.
ACTION: Request for comments.
SUMMARY: The FAA is seeking new ideas regarding how the agency can better influence land use decisions around airports. Noise contours around airports will continue to shrink with the elimination of noisier Stage 2 airplanes by the year 2000. The FAA now seeks to develop a process that will better influence long-term land use planning and zoning around airports....
